The FINEXITY GROUP unites various companies with different business focuses. In addition to operating a DLT-based exchange for tokenized private markets, the Group also operates an investment brokerage subsidiary that enables both private and professional investors to invest in tokenized private market opportunities.Besides its headquarters in Hamburg (Germany), the Group also maintains offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) to serve the ever-growing demand from the Middle East.

Our History
Finexity AG was founded in July 2018 and has been operational since January 2020. With over 180 accompanied issuances, a network of more than 10 trading partners (including savings banks and cooperative banks) and over 10,000 users in the ecosystem, the company has established itself as the leading provider of tokenized private market investments in Europe.
2018

FINEXITY was founded
FINEXITY was founded in 2018 in Hamburg by Paul Huelsmann and Tim Janssen, among others. Behind the scenes, work began on the business model.
2019

Successful BaFin approval process
Successful coordination of the business model with BaFin and launch of an own investment brokerage marketplace for tokenized securities as a tied agent (according to WpIG) under a liability umbrella.
2020

Successful financing & tokenization of the 1st project
Successful financing and tokenization of the first residential real estate project in Hamburg.
2020

Addition of further asset classes
Adding further asset classes to provide investors with a broad range of options (“multi-asset approach”).
2021

Secondary market launch
Launch of the secondary market as Europe's first OTC market for tokenized capital investments.

White-label integration

Start of expansion
Completion of the strategic spin-off and start of global expansion into the United Arab Emirates.
Board of Management

Paul Huelsmann
Paul Huelsmann was recognized as one of the ten most innovative finance and insurance experts in Germany in 2020 by leading business magazine Business Punk and is Regional Chair of the blockchain and real estate foundation Fibree. He studied management with a focus on finance at the University of Warwick (UK), was assistant to the Global Chief Controlling Officer of a large multinational corporation and co-head of an international incubator. He is also an accredited financial investment broker, has collected art for many years and learned the basics of art investment at Sotheby's Institute of Art in London.

Michael Ost
Michael Ost is CEO Europe on the Management Board of Finexity AG and has overall responsibility for the European business. In this role, he manages the strategic direction and day-to-day operations. In addition, he promotes the further development of the business model, develops innovative marketing and sales strategies and expands strategic partnerships. Before joining FINEXITY, Michael Ost held various management positions at Deutsche Bank Group for over 32 years. He was Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of BHW Bausparkasse AG and previously headed Deutsche Bank AG's private client business at its Frankfurt headquarters.

Tim Janssen
Tim Janssen has been a member of the Finexity AG Executive Board for many years and is responsible for the FINEXITY Group's IT as CTO Global. He is an expert in the areas of DLT, tokenization, trading, settlement and payment solutions. As a qualified software engineer, he manages the IT of the FINEXITY Group. He leads blockchain development and uses his expertise to implement smart contracts and all associated backend services such as the FINEXITY trading platform. Tim Janssen is not only interested in technological advances, as he also enjoys exploring new things in his free time as a travel enthusiast and adventurous person.

Sindra Hu
Sindra Hu is part of the Executive Board of Finexity AG and CFO. In this role, she is responsible for Finexity's finances and, as a proven M&A expert, for the strategic growth of Finexity. Sindra Hu has 20 years of experience in investment banking and private equity and, before joining Finexity, worked at Bankhaus Sal Oppenheim, in the investment team of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG and as an investment partner at Triton Partners, among others. Most recently, she led the businesses at ACA Capital Advisors as a Director.
